A superb original vintage 1961 studio photographic portrait taken by famed photographer Louis Fabian Bachrach of President John F. Kennedy. The photo is widely recognized as the definitive image of JFK. The 8" x 10" double weight, matt finish 1st generation photograph is one of the few "period" vintage, originals issued during Kennedy's administration (as opposed to the numerous modern contemporary repros made years later). The photo was mounted to an editorial board with a wax backing that was employed by many of the photo editors of the era and there is some pencil crop notations on the border as this photograph was subjected to publication use as part of a working library of news photos.
